Celebrating Mother's Day our Way

Happy Mother's Day to all Mommy's across the world! Whether your child is homegrown, by way of adoption, relative placement or you are fostering, today is your celebration. This one day. Though, I believe for this mere moment it maybe should be more than one day but I will take today....Mothers you ROCK!

Today, I celebrate my day with all my kiddos except for one and without my mother who I lost a little over a year ago (who I miss both of them terribly and not a minute goes by that I do not think of them). We did things different today, we left our comfort zone and took the kids to breakfast and a movie. We were going to try the new Civil War - Captain America movie but settled for Jungle Book. The little's except one lasted all but the last thirty minutes. I am proud of them, I am proud of my husband too. He ventured in uncharted territory and survived with all of us. This is why I Love him.

When my hubby and I were blessed to be parents three times then decided to foster; we were blessed by way of adoption, four times over. This is why I never forget our children's birth parents as we are forever grateful. Though their choices at the time may not have been all right or in the best interest, our children came into our home and now we have a huge extended family. We are truly blessed. For those reasons, we remain in contact.

As I share in the laughter, smiles, memories made today, I know that my Mother is with me and us. I know that she is sharing right a long. She is right here in comments made, in all the Little's laughter and play, in my oldest daughters smile, in the jokes by my teenage son or the hummingbird that comes to the window. My Mother never missed anything here on Earth and in Heaven she is our Guardian Angel! Happy Mother's Day Mom! Love you always. GOD BLESS

WISHING YOU ALL THE HAPPIEST MOTHER'S DAY!

No language can express the power, and beauty, and heroism, and majesty of a mother’s love. It shrinks not where man cowers, and grows stronger where man faints, and over wastes of worldly fortunes sends the radiance of its quenchless fidelity like a star. ~Edwin Hubbell Chapin
